It is about Jamilet, a beautiful girl with a horrible birthmark born in Mexico. She flees to USA with a hope to become as normal as possible, and gets a job to take care of the old Señor Peregrino. When he tells her about his pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella, everything changes.
